Bayside rolled into Charlotte and reminded everyone why twenty five years in, they’re still going just as hard. From the jump, “Montauk” and “Alcohol” set the tone, moody, fast, and raw. The crowd didn’t ease into it, they dove headfirst, and the room became one loud beautiful sing along.
The first stretch of the set brought momentum with “No One Understands” into “Boy” brought the nostalgia wave, while “Duality” and “Valentines” flexed the band’s ability to balance sharp edges with melody.
And then the closing run — “Can’t Go On,” “Walking Wounded (my personal favorite),” and “Call to Arms”— stacked anthem on anthem. The finale with “Blame It on Bad Luck,” and the iconic “Devotion and Desire” had everyone pouring their hearts and transported everyone back to when these song were new and the world was different.
Bayside didn’t just play Charlotte — they turned the night into a reminder of why this music still matters.
“And I know the spark inside your eyes
was just the match I used to set myself on fire.”
