DEAR KAVALIER
Dear Kavalier opened the pop-punk music festival, Bardown Breakfest, on The Milestone’s very first outside stage! It was hot, but they sounded awesome and set a great tone for what else was to come for the night.

30 IS DEAD
Second to the stage was 30 is Dead, who definitely brought up the energy, and thankfully passed out free sweat towels. I personally enjoyed watching the clanking of beers between the band and the crowd towards the end.

CORPORATE FANDANGO
Corporate Fandango’s unique collaboration of instruments brought a more interesting sound to the show. The funky bass, hard drums, and insane guitar combined with ska-like sounds on the trumpet, trombone, and sax made me wish I could put down my camera!

ALL MY CIRCUITS
All My Circuits are a North Carolina original. Their electrifying drums leave nothing left to be desired and their fast and energetic guitars are thrilling to say the least.

SUBVERTIGO
Subvertigo’s experimental mix of soft, yet fast and hard tunes were a refreshing change of pace during the show. They are worth the listen so be ready for their first EP dropping at the end of this month!

NEVER HOME
Never Home took the stage for the first time in four years thanks to Bardown’s invitation, and they put everything they had into their performance. I definitely hope to see more of them from now on!

THE SECOND AFTER
The enigma that is The Second After left the whole milestone dance floor wanting more. Their slow fast riffs throw the listeners for a loop, bringing the energy from 10 to 100 quickly.

COME CLEAN
Come Clean was one of the angsty, pop-punk sounds of the night. I really enjoyed the somewhat true to the 90s style guitar and catchy vocals during their set!

WASTOID
The Charlotte scene can’t get enough of Wastoid and neither could I. They never fail to impress during their high energy performances. Even though they were the ninth band to play that night, crowd members were screaming for more!

SENECA BURNS
The last band of the night was none other than Seneca Burns. They embody Charlotte’s pop punk sound, and have gained quite a fan base in the area making for an outstanding, night ending set. The blue haired crowd member starring in many of my photos throughout the night even had some of their lyrics tattooed on her arm!
