Mighty Giveback 2024: Raising $1 Million for Mental Health

Band Together, a Raleigh-based nonprofit organization, has done it again with their annual volunteer-driven Mighty Giveback fundraising show this past Saturday, September 21st, raising over $1 million for mental health resources across the Triangle. Hosted at the Red Hat Amphitheatre in downtown Raleigh for the ninth consecutive year, the Mighty Giveback featured an eclectic mix of performing artists, local vendors, and even a silent auction. Headlined by Mighty Giveback veterans Black Pumas with support from Cory Wong, Young Gun Silver Fox, and legendary DJ Terminator X (formerly of Public Enemy), the night’s performances were full of funk, soul, and explosive energy right from the start, carrying through each succeeding act all the way through to the finale. Local vendors included Vinnie’s Steakhouse & Tavern, Five Star Restaurant, Umbrella Dry Bar, Lawrence Barbecue, Cooks Mill Whiskey, and Social House Vodka just to name a handful.

Uniting folks from all across NC to share a night of live music for a cause that has garnered an increased spotlight in recent years, the night was a justified celebration for many, especially considering the event followed fresh on the heels of the Raleigh City Council’s recent vote to save and relocate the amphitheater a block south. On top of the near $1.5 million raised for mental health services across the Triangle, the 2024 Mighty Giveback lived up to its name in more ways that one. If you missed out this year, rest assured you’ll be able to catch it next year!
