If one had walked into The Ritz in Raleigh, North Carolina on May 13th not knowing what artist was performing that night; they may have safely assumed they were at a hardcore show based on the crowds noticeable energy. However, the high-energy audience was in-fact there for the Indie-Rock/Americana band, The Crane Wives. This four-piece group commanded the room as soon as they took the stage. From fans at the barricade singing back every word to every song, to those in the back of the venue dancing and clapping their hands, everyone was fully in-tune with the bands performance. The Crane Wives presence on stage was also nothing short of energetic and just simply fun to witness and be a part of. The connection the band has with not only the songs they write and perform, but also their fans, is a testament to the popularity they have achieved in the past few years and the popularity that they will no doubt continue to see in the years to come.
