Of Mice & Men, Until I Wake and Gore. at Charlotte’s Filmore Underground

On May 21st, the Fillmore Underground in Charlotte, North Carolina, came alive with an electrifying performance featuring three dynamic bands: Gore., Until I Wake, and Of Mice & Men. From the moment the doors opened, the energy was palpable, and the night did not disappoint.

Kicking off the evening was Gore. with a truly visceral sound that embodies elements of metalcore with truly infectious melodies, their set was a fierce and captivating introduction. The band’s raw energy resonated throughout the venue. Songs like “Doomsday” and “Babylon” showcased their skilled instrumentation, while the haunting vocals commanded attention. The band unveiled an unreleased song and the connection between the band and the audience was tangible, as they brought a level of intensity that set the perfect tone for the night ahead.

Next up was Until I Wake, a band that has been making waves in the metal scene. Their mix of melodic and heavy elements created a dynamic atmosphere that had the crowd moving and crowd surfing throughout their performance. With a perfect mix of crowd-favorites – and newer songs like “Another Miracle” – they effortlessly maintained the high energy that had built the entire night. Lead vocalist Aaron Pauley’s dynamic range shone through as he led the crowd in sing-alongs, and the sheer power of their sound had everyone headbanging throughout their set. The encore was a fitting end, leaving everyone buzzing with adrenaline. The evening had many fans in attendance smiling and clearly enjoying the night to the fullest with an appreciation for this great tour lineup.
