Long time favorite 311 brought their ‘Unity’ tour to the Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre in Charlotte NC Tuesday June 24. The evening started off early at VBGB Beer Hall & Garden Restaurant next door to the venue. The band made a “surprise” appearance at VBGB along with Woody & Wilcox from Charlotte rock station 106.5 ‘The End’ where they spent time hanging with fans talking and taking pictures.
Openers Sitting on Saturn and Badflower got the packed crowd warmed up for the main event. Thirty seven years into their musical career 311’s positive vibes sounded as powerful as ever keeping the crowd singing and dancing as they moved through fan favorites from their immense catalog. Charlotte was the fourth stop on their thirty nine city ‘Unity’ tour. If you haven’t had the opportunity to catch a show yet, the tour continues on through August 31.
