Cannibal Corpse Brings Chaos to Raleigh, North Carolina

Even those music fans that don’t dabble in the world of death metal are typically aware of the name Cannibal Corpse. Whether it’s because they happened to come across them at a larger music festival or even if they simply saw the famous clip from Ace Ventura, Cannibal Corpse has made a name for themselves in not only the music industry, but the entertainment industry as a whole. Since releasing their most recent album, Chaos Horrific in 2023, Cannibal Corpse has been touring the world on a regular basis, but their current Fall 2025 Headlining Tour promised to be something special, especially with a thrashing, horror-filled and heavy line-up of openers including Municipal Waste, Full of Hell and Fulci.

Cannibal Corpse commands a powerful army of dedicated fans that were full of anticipation as the tour stopped in Raleigh, North Carolina at The Ritz on a cool October evening (this show was honestly just an early Halloween treat). When it came time for who some call the “undisputed Kings of Death Metal” to take the stage, the venue and stage lights went fully dark as the band walked out, picking up their respective instruments from their stands and all took poses as they prepared to play their first riffs. Right before the first notes of their single “Blood Blind” rang out, vocalist George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher approached center stage, to which the crowd let out roars of appreciation and put their “devil-horns” in the air. Fisher looked out with a nod and a smile to the audience before releasing one of his signature growls.

For the next hour and 15 minutes, Fisher and the rest of Cannibal Corpse took the audience on a whirlwind of 16 songs that spanned over 12 of the band’s albums. The amount of head banging and crowdsurfing and just general crowd-interaction that took place could make anyone easily see why the mantle of King has been placed on these death metal greats. From extreme riffs to rumbling bass lines to blasting drums and of course guttural otherworldly vocals, Cannibal Corpse cemented once again in their performance, why they have been around for decades and will remain around for the decades to come in an ever-changing metal music landscape.

Cannibal Corpse’s current Fall Tour has only a fews dates left before it comes to an end, so if you’re not able to make it out to a show on this run, make sure to keep an eye on their next tour announcement, because this a band that any metal fan needs to make sure they experience.
