Ellise Brings the Pretty Evil Tour to North Carolina

Singer and songwriter Ellise brought part two of her “Pretty Evil” Tour to Motorco in Durham, North Carolina this past week. The tour is in support of her most recent album release of the same name. Known for her dark themed and pop influenced music, Ellise began gaining popularity in 2021 when she released her debut album, “Chaotic”. Since then she has collaborated with multiple artists within the pop and alternative music genres while creating what other media outlets have called “dark pop”.

The intimate Motorco Music Hall stage was set with the Pretty Evil album artwork backdropping the scene with purple and blue hues to create the atmosphere needed for the artist known for writing Halloween inspired songs. Once the lights darkened, the drums and bass guitar began to rumble and the crowd went silent in anticipation. As the instrumental intro grew louder, Ellise appeared from side-stage. The fans in the audience immediately began to cheer as the singer strutted her way to center-stage stylishly adorned in a sparkling gold mini-dress with pearl-white high heels. It was clear the audience was in-store for an unforgettable and royal performance.

Beginning with the hit song “Kerosene”, Ellise delivered a powerful and engaging setlist that spanned not only the Pretty Evil album, but her entire career so far. Tracks such as the fan-favorites “dead2me” and “911” had the entire venue screaming the lyrics at the top of their lungs while dancing the night away as well. A unique moment of the evening came when Ellise performed her newest single “Sexxxtapes” that had just been released only a few days earlier.

All in all the singer and songwriter known as Ellise is an excellent performer that will soon be delivering even more incredible hit music and topping charts. This tour could be one of the last that we see her performing in small intimate venues, as she is easily ready for the next level of venues, whether it be headlining full-size music hall or supporting a larger act in an arena. The Pretty Evil Tour has about two more weeks of stops left and I highly encourage you to catch this talented artist in these intimate settings while you still can!
