On Thursday, February 12th, 2026, indie-folk power couple Drew and Ellie Holcomb delivered an intimate performance on the “Never Gonna Let You Go” Tour at Charlotte’s Knight Theater. Drew and Ellie Holcomb have been married for many years and their admiration for each other shines bright in both their music and respect for each other on stage, feeding off the energy of the crowd, as often as one another.
These two have the kind of chemistry most bands would love to have. Ellie has been woven into Drew’s world since the early days of Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, formed not long after they were married but she’s also built her own lane as a solo artist.
Between chart-topping Americana success and the sort of streaming numbers that make industry types sweat into their spreadsheets, they’re not some cute couple, they’re the real deal and veterans of the sound that they craft.
The night kicked off in Charlotte at 8pm with a stripped-back, intimate acoustic set before a brief intermission and full band performance. Between songs, they both reminisced through brief memories together. Drew’s recap of first meeting Ellie was short, sweet, and dangerously sincere. It’s the kind of thing that makes you understand why their songs land; it’s not an act or performative posturing. The music they make is authentically who they are and the life they live.
The harmonies, blended perfectly between both singers, was a true highlight of the night for many with the modern proscenium-style Knight Theater providing an intimate and immersive sound for everyone in attendance.
Ultimately, if indie-folk with heart-on-sleeve optimism is your thing, think The Avett Brothers vibes but with a married duo’s tenderness and crowd-sized singalong lift, please do yourself a favor. Check out their record, Memory Bank, and if you get the chance, see them live. This concert felt like a reminder that music can still be purely good for you.
