Solarist pay homage to their grunge-era roots covering Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”

Greenville based Solarist have always had a heavy grunge influence to their sound. Their latest release, a cover of Nirvana’s “Heart Shaped Box”, digs into the roots of that sound.

Vocalist Tom Carden:
“I’ve always been a huge Nirvana fan. I really wanted to pay homage to them since they helped mold me into what I am today. We picked “Heart Shaped Box” because we felt the world needed to hear this again in a more modern fashion. There is a lot of anger, pain, and frustration in this song and people still identify with the message.”

It will be available May 19 on all the major streaming services, but you can listen to it right now as a YouTube Exclusive.
