Nearly three years since their last tour Florida metalcore band Underoath hit the road in support of their recently released Voyeurist album. On March 23 they stopped by The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. Three hours before the sold-out show started people were lined down the sidewalk. The thunderstorms weren’t going to stop the fans from being “first in” to get a spot as close to the stage as possible.

Stray from the Path took the stage first giving us a blistering mix of metalcore, punk, and nu metal.

Bad Omens, who recently released their new album Death of Peace of Mind, was up next with an energetic set that had the crowd moving with what seemed like a non-stop wave of surfers.

Canadian band Spiritbox took the stage third. Though relatively new, they’ve quickly become a fan favorite drawing huge crowds of adoring fans singing along with vocalist LaPlante’s mix of beautiful cleans and ferocious screams.

Lastly the band that brought this incredible night together, Underoath, stepped on stage. With nearly 25 years of powerful music in their catalog they had more than enough to satisfy the screaming, moshing, surfing fans for well over an hour.
