Friday June 17 Andy Grammer brought his “Art of Joy” tour to The Knight Theater in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina with Alt Bloom as the opener. Alt Bloom got the crowd energized and excited for Andy with his uplifting songs and energizing beats.
Platinum artist Grammer is touring North America promoting his new album the “Art of Joy.” Grammer sang many of his empowering and uplifting popular songs such as Honey I’m Good, Keep Your Head Up, and Fresh Eyes. His versatile musical style ranges from modern jazz, to pop, to old school jazz. He has the most inspiring and uplifting songs which is what the audience feeds off of and it is certainly needed.
His song Keep Your Head Up has lyrics that really resonate with fans. “Only rainbows after rain. The sun will always come again” is perfect for those struggling right now, which many are. It is a very uplifting and a feel good song. Grammer himself is an inspiring artist. He strives to remind others to be their most authentic selves and finds it important to remind others how important being creative and being who you are. Grammer is not only what we need for Pride month, he is also who we need during COVID and all the other hard times people have dealt with lately.
Grammer truly enjoys performing on stage, his smile is infectious and it shows how much he truly loves being an artist, which is rare. His positive affirmations are what the world needs right now. This show truly helped me mentally and he strives to help other with his music, it’s truly refreshing. Many fans left grinning ear to ear just as he was while performing.
