The Koffin Kats brought murderous lyrics, a sexy upright bass, and a damn jolly time to Red Flag in St, Louis, MO. Vic Victor (lead vocals, upright bass), Tommy Koffin (guitar), and E Ball Walls (drums) are truly brothers on stage. Your conservative grandmother might view them as a bunch of unsavory punk-rockers, but these guys are all smiles!
Of course, as we know about any great show, we can’t forget about the locals! The Radio Buzzkills were a rebelliously charming trio. Influenced by the sounds of the Ramones and Screeching Weasel, the band describes themselves perfectly as “a sugary sweet bubblegum punk with just a slight hint of swallowed broken glass.” Not only did they have an awesome set, they proved once and for all that a broken string cannot stop the music.
The night grew a bit rowdier when Uncanny Valley took the stage. With aggressive instrumentals and a high-energy stage presence, these guys are sure to make a name for themselves in the easycore genre. They’re a bit comedic too (check out their shirts in the photos)! We can try to deny it, especially at a psychobilly show, but who doesn’t love pop-punk?
