On May 23rd, Paramore kicked off their North American Tour with a sold out show  in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Spectrum Center. With this being the bands first stop of the tour, the anticipation from the fans was high. Paramore pulled out all the classics such as “Playing God”, “The Only Exception”, and of course, “Misery Business”. While playing a jam packed, two hour long set, Paramore played a lot of songs off the bands most recent release: This Is Why. Charlotte was the first to hear some of these songs live like “Big Man, Little Dignity” and “Figure 8.” The bands full setlist can be seen here:

With kicking off their first arena tour in over a decade, Paramore put on more than just a show. With the band’s massive production and electric energy from front woman Hayley Williams, there’s no doubt that every fan in the arena was fully engaged the whole performance. It’s also important to note that Paramore is more than just a band, it’s a community. Paramore proves that by putting together special moments in this tour, such as the Paramoat which brought select fans down to join the band on stage for their encore. Also, the classic Misery Business ending, where Hayley Williams pulls a fan on stage to finish out the song with her. These special moments that the band adds to their live performances really brings them to another level than most bands.

Needless to say, Paramore has put over 100% of their effort and time into making this North American tour worth every penny. The band brings out songs spanning their whole discography while also focusing on their most recent album cycle. Personally, I feel like everyone should experience Paramore live at least once in their life. This band puts all their heart into everything they do and it really shows live.
