Avatar’s headbanging seemed almost choreographed throughout their songs, and they pulled out every stop for their show. Their name was lit up in a huge light display, they were in full costume, and they brought along props and bubbles. Their set ended with “Smells like a Freak Show”.

The gargoyle lights watched on in glee as the audience took part in the musical ritual. The band gave all their energy, and the audience gave their own. It was a kind of ambiance only achievable at an older venue like this.

Fozzy is the brainchild of WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, and he brought every ounce of his bombastic WWE performance to the stage. The crowd was ready for this, cheering each member as they came out. Rich “The Duke” Ward brought his own brand of explosive energy to the show, moving around the stage enthusiastically. It didn’t slow them down one bit that bassist Pail Di Leo was not with them.
